BIRMINGHAM, UK—International rap superstar Kanye West has shocked the music industry by expressing his interest in fulfilling a long held promise of becoming the head coach of English Premier League side, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves currently lie 12th in the league but the 21-time Grammy winner is confident he will lead the club into the Champions League next season at the first time of asking.

West, who tweeted his desire to “fix wolves” over 5 years ago when the club was struggling in the Championship, has announced his intention to succeed Nuno Espírito Santo and lead Wolves back into European football.

“Yo listen, Nuno has done a fine job… BUT IM DA MICK MCCARTHY OF THE NEW ERA,” tweeted West in English and then again in Portuguese.

Wolves currently lie 16th in the Championship but the 21-time Grammy winner is confident he will lead the club into the Champions League at the first time of asking.

“With a squad like that, we should at least be targeting top 4 if not a late season title challenge,” he continued, adding that Santo’s current 4-5-1 formation was not best suited to the players at his disposal.

The thought of relocating to Birmingham was also said to have been the leading factor in  Kim Kardashian’s recent divorce from West.

Not to be outdone, Kanye’s friend, Jay-Z, expressed his willingness to take over at Aston Villa should the opportunity arise in the near future.
