THE presumptive republican nominee Donald Trump has shockingly admitted his wife Melania is being vetted as a potential running mate for the upcoming election.
Trump has given himself until the republican convention on July 18th before deciding who his VP pick will be, and the billionaire concedes the popular Netflix show ‘House of Cards’ may influence his decision.
“This is how I make my decisions”, he told the BSJ. “When I see a good idea, I take it and I use it. Sometimes I forget whether an idea came from a movie, a documentary or a dream, but when I get a great idea I just do it without thinking. It’s what all the great leaders do.”
House of Cards centers around the American president and his wife and Vice President, Claire. Having completed season 4 of the show, Trump is convinced of his third wife’s suitability for the role: “She’d look terrific in the White House,” he said. “I mean who better on my arm than a women I found attractive as recently as 2008.”
The potential first joint Vice President and First Lady said she felt fully capable of helping her husband, if called upon. “People should not underestimate me,” she said assuredly. “I’m just as qualified to be Vice-President as my husband is to be President.”
With Melaina now a serious contender, Trump made sure to keep his other tributes on their toes. “What can I say about my little errand boy Christopher,” Trump said of the New Jersey governor. “No one knows my McDonald’s order like Chris Christie, nobody,” he insisted. “He has to be a very strong canditate.”
House of Cards’ storyline about a ruthless politician and his manipulative wife, stopping at nothing to climb the political ladder, seemingly struck a chord with Donald who was glowing in his praise of the show’s talent:
“Kevin Spacey, let me tell you, what a tremendously talented actor and brilliant man he is. And Robin Wright, what can I say? She really is a ten.” – Donald Trump
Having seen the impact of Claire Underwood on her husband’s success, Trump see’s many comparable traits in his current wife. “When Melania gives me that dull, empty, love-less glare, I really feel like I’m already president.”
While acknowledging the striking similarities between himself and President Underwood, Trump‘s only gripe with the show was Frank’s unrealistic relationship with the media. “Yeah like it’s that easy to kill a Washington reporter you’ve been banging for months,” he said dismissively. “And who are they trying to fool with the fake hair? He looks ridiculous.”
