On our facebook page “Pokemon of Vancouver” we speak with the everyday pokemon about their lives, troubles and experiences that have made them who they are today.
Some of our personal favourite Pokemon to interview include one Eevee, who is a budding young evolutionary biologist from Ontario: “Who knows who or what I’ll become, but that’s kinda the exciting part.”
We’ve also spoke to a Wartortle named Susan who was struggling to find a pet friendly building in Vancouver for her and her pet Meowth. Pokemon of Vancouver is delighted to announce that she has since found a place living with a Machop on Davie St.
To highlight the spirit of the pokemon of BC, we met a brave Magikarp who overcame incredible obstacles to start his own food truck empire:
“People said I was crazy to quit my job and open up a food truck. Had to take out a pretty big loan and yeah sure, there’s been some tough times. But this November, I’ll celebrate 5 years of making the best damn falafels in the entire city, and I’m not just saying that. Last month I added 2 new trucks in East Van so business is booming. No one really thought I could do it, but it just goes to show what things can become if you show a little faith, you know?”
