Robbie Keane to leave LA Galaxy and return to "the team of me dreams"

The Republic of Ireland’s record goalscorer Robbie Keane, has announced his decision to leave the LA Galaxy and return to the team he supported as a boy.

There has been widespread confusion on social media over which club Keane is referring to. Keane it the only player to have ever played for all 9 of his childhood teams including: Wolves, Inter Milan, Celtic and LA Galaxy. Keane took to twitter to thank LA fans:

Upon announcing his decision Keane again denied that he had moved to LA for financial reasons and that the weather was the main issue. “There’s only so long someone from Tallaght can take the heat of LA. Might try the heat of Australia or Qatar instead.” Robbie “the unidentified fan” Keane (33) was coy on his plans for when he hangs up his boots for good. “Media work does interest me. Becks (David Beckham) says I have a face for radio and the personality of a door so that’s something to look in to.”

Keane did express a wish to return to Ireland at some point in the future. “I don’t know what the future holds for the Keanes, but clearly I need to move my kids back to Dublin so the Dubs can beat that LA accent out of them.”

In unrelated news, Landon Donovan has announced that he is to come out of retirement and resign for LA Galaxy.
