Roy Hodgson confirmed to BenchWarmers that the revelation had all but ended his England career. The Irish nation were justifiably outraged at the news of Grealish’s exploits and Roy Keane led the stinging criticism. “As far as I’m concerned he’s a lightweight, so he’s not Irish. Paul McGrath once drained the Shannon river, filled it with Whiskey and drank the whole thing in one go. Now that’s a real Irishman.” said the Ireland manager assistant manager.
