NEW YORK, NY (Shane Giles) – A leaked series of emails detail how American Presidential nominee Donald Trump reached out to shamed cyclist Lance Armstrong for advice on the US Space Program, under the belief that he was corresponding with Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong.

The inexperienced Republican hopeful has been seeking advice on a number of domestic areas, and took it upon himself to personally email Armstrong in an attempt to be brought up to speed on NASA policies.
Trump’s secretary spotted the blunder and informed him that the person he emailed was not first man on the moon, but in fact sports cheat Lance Armstrong.

Subsequent attempts by Trump to reach the correct Armstrong proved unsuccessful due to Neil Armstrong’s death in August 2012.

As a consolation, a Trump staffer set up a meeting with the surviving Apollo 11 moonwalker, Buzz Aldrin. Trump later cancelled the meeting saying he “couldn’t be seen to be taking advice from someone who came in second place.”

Bizarrely, Lance Armstrong replied to Trump with a detailed report on the Space Program that sources described as “incredibly detailed and well thought out, but will probably turn out to be lies.” Nevertheless, Trump is said to be taking it into consideration.
