IN response to their two-window transfer ban from FIFA, Chelsea Football Club have asked football’s governing body if the ban also applies to managers.
With Chelsea grudgingly admitting the transfer ban may offer them a rare opportunity to promote youth players, there was serious alarm at Stamford Bridge on Friday morning that the ban may apply to managers as well.
Chelsea responded to FIFA requesting immediate clarification, stating they were “fully prepared” to take the organisation to court on the matter.
Meanwhile the club have signalled their intention to ask neighbours Tottenham for advice on surviving multiple transfer windows without signing anyone.
