Not content with conquering the world of football, Jesse Lingard aims to conquer the world of fashion with the debut of his own clothing line, designed exclusively for middle-aged hipster lesbians.
At the exclusive launch of Drip by J Lingz in Manchester, Lingard even wore items from his collection himself alongside his Man United teammate Marcus Rashford.
“If you’ve got it, flaunt it, I say,” Lingard said. “I’m wearing my personal favourite piece—Woman United.
I designed it with the 30-something professional woman who lives in a converted loft with her freelance writer girlfriend Rex in mind.”
Rashford admitted that he was unaware he would have to wear women’s clothing when he agreed to attend the launch but said he was happy to support his friend.
“Yeah he owes me one for this,” chuckled Rashford. “I had to wear a dress on my brother’s stag do before so I didn’t mind it for the laugh. At the end of the day it’s all for a good cause anyway isn’t it? Wait, isn’t it?”
Lingard will attend shows in Paris and Milan before flying to Reading for the FA Cup 3rd round. Immediately after J Lingz will jet off to New York to appear on the Ellen Degeneres show in America.
