WASHINGTON, D.C.—Donald Trump has reportedly contacted Justin Trudeau with an offer to buy Alberta, asking the Prime Minister to name his price for the Canadian province.
The offer came just hours after Trump’s offer to buy Greenland was rejected by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
“I’ve made Canada an offer that I think is very fair and we’ll see what happens,” Trump told reporters outside the White House this morning. “It would be in the best interests of everyone if I controlled Alberta.”
“I can do for them what I’ve done for America,” he said, chillingly, producing a photoshopped image of Trump Tower on Lake Moraine.
Trump is seemingly so serious about the offer that he has even suggested that he will refuse to visit Canada until the country is prepared to discuss the sale of Alberta.
“If Justin declines this amazing offer, I will never speak to him again.”
As of yet, Trudeau’s only response to Trump’s threat has been to ask what the catch is.
